We've been married for over a month and a half now, but things have certainly not slowed down since the wedding! Following the ceremony (which was everything I had ever dreamed of and so much more), we enjoyed a relaxing a beautiful honeymoon in Barbados. The food was incredible, the people were so friendly, and the scenery was gorgeous. After a week of breakfast served to us on our front porch every morning and days spent in the crystal clear water, we were sad to come back to the realities of life.We were back in Annapolis for only about 2 weeks when Sayre received his official orders telling us that we would have to move to Florida in August. It's quite a bit sooner than we had originally thought it was going to be (we initially thought it wouldn't happen until October), but we've already found a place down there and we'll be moving in about a week & a half! Craziness... I know... but it's exciting! Actually, it's kind of bitter-sweet. I've really grown found of Annapolis during this past year and I was so fortunate to have found such a great job up here. It's sad to leave that all behind, but I have no doubts that Florida will offer us new and exciting adventures (and Disney World too, of course!)
Sayre is currently in San Diego preparing with his team to compete with their underwater robot in the AUVSI competition. I'm heading over there on Thursday to meet up with him for the actual competition itself which is being held this weekend. It's exciting! He & his team have worked so hard this year perfecting their robot... I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all of their hard work & dedication will pay off! I can't wait to go!
Once we return to Annapolis, we'll be packing up the last few things in our apartment & then heading down to Florida! Life is moving full-speed ahead, but we truly couldn't be happier. We're so blessed with such supportive family & friends :) We're so glad we got to see everyone at the wedding and we're looking forward to the next time we get to see everyone again!
